DESCRIPTION:We have scheduled a lunch and club meeting for 11:30 AM\, Wednesday\, 12 August 2026 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Club.   Since August is a hot month\, we can enjoy each other’s company in an air-conditioned restaurant overlooking the Charlotte Motor Speedway during our meeting.  It is a beautiful location with a reasonably priced menu. Plenty of parking is available\, and you are welcome to drive your Little British Car\, or your air-conditioned vehicle.  Below are the bullets for all you need to know. \n\nReservations:  Reservations are required.  Please call the Speedway Club at 704-455-3216 and tell the hostess you want reservations for 11:30 and that you are with the CAHC\n \nDress Code:  Dress is business or country club casual.  Shorts are okay\, but please wear a collared shirt.\n \nTours Available:  If you are interested\, tours of the speedway are available by calling the Speedway Tour Coordinator at 704-88-9045.  You should probably schedule a tour after 1:30 PM\n \nLet Charles Know:  Please let Charles know if you will be attending by calling him at 704-788-9045 or emailing him at croberts8930@gmail.com

SUMMARY:Southeastern Classic XXXIX
DESCRIPTION:The Southeastern Classic is hosted by four different Austin-Healey Area Clubs\, typically in the fall\, from the Southeastern region of the United States.  The event draws attendees from those states highlighted and as far away as Canada and Texas. The first event was held in Sebring Florida in 1987 and has been held continuously since that time. The Southeastern Classic location changes each year\, so attendees get to experience different venues from the mountains to the coast\, and from Florida to Virginia.  Save the dates\, September 17-20\, 2026\, for the Southeastern Classic XXXIX which will be a fabulous event in Dahlonega\, Georgia

SUMMARY:NC Beach Trip
DESCRIPTION:The coastal trip is planned for Sunday\, 11/1 – 11/4 in historic and beautiful Beaufort\, NC.  Some of you remember the wonderful trip we had several years ago. I had planned to have this trip in Southport\, NC; however\, after much deliberation\, I decided to go back to Beaufort.  Southport does not have any hotels within walking distance of the downtown. During that time of the year\, both areas have many tourists making driving and parking much too difficult. \nI have arranged for us to stay at the Inlet Inn\, on the waterfront of Beaufort. Those who stayed there in the past recall the wonderful location and accommodations. We have blocked 15 rooms of varying configurations for 3 nights\, Sunday November 1-4\, 2026 (checking out on Wednesday 11/4). The room rates vary from $169 – $199/night\, plus taxes and fees totaling 12.75%. Guests staying three nights will enjoy Sunday night at 50% off the published direct book rate. They will extend a 10% discount to any guests staying fewer than three nights. The higher rate rooms are mostly 2nd floor\, waterfront\, king\, with a balcony looking over Taylors Creek. Guests can review their property online (inlet-inn.com) and then book your room by calling directly at 252-728-3600 and providing the name\, “CAHC”. Each guest will pay a required one-night deposit\, which is fully refundable up to 48 hours before arrival (3pm two days before check-in).
