DESCRIPTION:Click to the right for more details: \nWhat: The Autumn in the Mountains British Car Show is always a fun show and typically well attended by Carolinas Healey Club members.  In recent years the event\, in its new location on the grounds of Mills River Brewing Co\, has drawn more than 200 British cars and bikes. Registration is now open at:  bccwnc.org  \nWhen: September 21\, 2024\, Registration from 8:30 to 11:00am. Since the show starts early Saturday morning we are planning on going up on Friday the 20th. DESCRIPTION:Click on Photo for more details!\nCarolinas Austin-Healey Club: We will start the July 13 2024\, Roberts Farm drive/visit at Reed Gold Mine\, located 9621 Reed Mine Rd\, Midland\, NC on 13 July at 9AM\, to beat the expected July heat.\n\nReed Mine opens at 9AM and has no entrance fee. Enjoy a tour of the Mine visitor center\, museum and the Reed Gold Mine. The Mine was open shortly after Conrad Reed\, John Reed’s son\, found a 17 lb gold nugget in a nearby creek in 1799. For a small fee you can try your luck at panning for gold.\n\nAround 11AM we will travel to Bost Grist Mill located at 4701 Hwy 200\, Concord\, NC for a visit at the grist Mill. The visit to the grist mill is contingent on Hwy 200 repairs being completed prior to 13 July.\n\nAround 12 noon we will travel to the Roberts’ Big Oak Farm located at 1551 Cal Bost Rd\, Midland\, NC\, for a catered BBQ lunch\, entertainment\, and visit to the farm and our restored 1790 log house.\n\nLunch will be served between 1PM and 3PM. A BBQ lunch is being catered by Johnny Rodgers BBQ of Concord\, NC. www.johnnyrodgersbbq.com\n\nEntertainment will start at 3PM. Entertainment is the The Fiddler and the Flutist playing Blue Grass as well as Irish folk music. www.thefiddlerandtheflutist.com\n\nSuggest people use 1313 Cal Bost Rd for a direct route to the log house. Bear right at my brother John’s house and park Austin Healeys around and in front of the log house. Other vehicles can park on the hill under the trees in the pasture just above and prior to the log house gate entrance. Just watch for cow patties when you exit your vehicle.\n\nWeather and time permitting\,  we can have a hay ride around the farm. The log house is located on a fully stocked farm pond\, so if your interested in fishing for Bass or Bream\, bring your fishing pole and chair\, otherwise enjoy rocking on the front porch\, eating BBQ and listening to the Fiddler and the Flutist.\n\nI would like to get an RSVP text to my phone (704-788-9045) of the number of people that plan to attend\, so I can order the correct amount of food for the catered BBQ lunch.\n\nI’ll have tea and water\, if you want an adult beverage\, bring your own. If you would like to bring an appetizers or a dessert\, they will be welcomed.\n\nDue to the probability of high temperatures 13 July\, if you don’t want to visit Reed Gold Mine or Bost Grist Mill\, your welcome to arrive at the farm between 12 noon and 1PM. The log house has air conditioning and a covered porch for rocking.

SUMMARY:Club Drive and Tour to Historic Camden\, SC
DESCRIPTION:(Click on photo for more info): Take a trip back in time to the oldest inland city in South Carolina. The city is rich in history dating back to the Revolutionary War period when the British won one of the most decisive battles of the war. We will tour the Revolutionary War Park and learn about the bodies of 14 soldiers that were recently unearthed and given a proper burial with full military honors. Despite Camden’s history I have been assured that British cars are now more than welcome. \nWe will meet at the Steeple Chase Museum for coffee and donuts before proceeding to the park. After touring the park we will have lunch at a park (bring your own) then proceed on a driving tour of eighteenth and ninetieth century historic homes throughout the city including Kamschatka that was William Buckley’s family home.. DESCRIPTION:Southeastern Classic XXXVI\nWe are excited to announce that the 36th annual Southeastern Classic will be hosted by the Carolinas Austin-Healey Club in the Biltmore Village area of Asheville NC. We will be located just a few minutes away from entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We have an incredible 4-day weekend planned on September 21-24\, 2023 for the over 125 registrations we are expecting. It starts Thursday evening at the host hotel with a parking lot Welcoming Street Party with food trucks and live music! During the Welcoming Street Party we will have an SEC first timers meet & greet car show. Friday we will have a Blue Ridge Parkway Poker Run that will include stops at fabulous scenic vistas along the Parkway\, including the highest peak East of the Mississippi\, Mount Mitchell State Park. On Saturday we will have another run on the Parkway after the car show that will include many classic BRP tunnels. \nDuring the weekend we will offer tours of the famous Biltmore Estate\, Historic Asheville Trolly Tour\, a fun Bingo Night (with a “professional” caller)\, a car show in a very scenic Biltmore Forest setting\, multiple tech sessions\, the famous Carolinas Healey Club hospitality room and great meals.
